How we charge

One fee, contingent on result. There is no hourly rate, no retainer, and no survey fee.

One flat fee: 10% of the savings we secure, confirmed in writing by the council. Nothing saved, nothing to pay.

What is free

None of this requires an account, a card, or a commitment. If there turns out to be nothing to recover, that’s where it ends and you owe nothing.

What the fee is for

Making the claim and seeing it through. That means assembling the evidence, putting it to the council or the Valuation Office, and staying with it until the confirmation is in writing. It takes knowledge and time, and it is the only part you pay for.

Questions people ask before they sign anything

What counts as a “saving”?

Money the council confirms in writing: a refund paid to you, a relief granted, or a reduction in what you are billed. Estimates and projections do not count. If it is not in writing from the council, there is no fee.

Which period does the fee apply to?

That depends on the type of claim. It is set out in the letter of engagement, which you see before you sign anything. A single figure posted here would be wrong for half the cases.

What if you find nothing?

Then we tell you so and there is nothing to pay. If there's nothing to save, we say so. You keep the written review either way.

Could I not do this myself?

For some of it, yes, and we’ll tell you which parts. Small Business Rate Relief is a form on your council’s website and it costs nothing to submit. Where that is all there is to it, we say so. The choice is then between your own time and 10% of what the claim recovers.

Is there anything to pay up front?

No. No deposit, no monthly fee, no charge for the review. The fee falls due only after the council has confirmed the saving in writing.

Who am I actually dealing with?

AIDO MIND Limited, company number 15422883, registered at 5th Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. Alan Fang handles the work. We are rates and reliefs specialists, not solicitors or accountants. Where a matter needs one, we refer it rather than take it on.

Have a question that isn’t here?

Message 07594 933857. That reaches James, assistant to Alan Fang. A photo of your rates bill is enough to start.
